What is FAFSA?
     FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid and it's the first step to qualifying for most forms of financial aid (Pell grants, Work-Study, Access Missouri Grant, student loans, and A+ Scholarship). Please visit studentaid.gov to get all of the latest FAFSA information including dates of application and deadlines.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Suggested areas to look for scholarships:

1. At the college or university with which the student is applying. Check each individual school's website to
determine what the criteria and deadlines are for awards.

2. On-line students will find a variety of resources to assist in the scholarship search. A listing of suggested links

4. Both student's employers and companies where parents are employed should be researched for scholarship 
possibilities.

1.“48” SCHOLARSHIP2017 48 Scholarship.pdf
The "48" scholarship is in memory of past graduate Randy Ray Mcleod. Randy was a great student and athlete at Warrenton High School. He graduated with the class of 2001, and went on to serve in the U.S Navy and Missouri
Army National Guard. Randy’s life ended on April 13, 2006, way too early. This $480 scholarship is funded by
Richy and Hannah Kohler in memory of him and is OPEN TO ALL GRADUATING SENIORS. 

2.BIG RED BOOSTERS2017 Big Red Boosters.pdf 
The Big Red Booster Scholarship Program will provide a $500 academic scholarship to ONE MALE AND 
ONE FEMALE ATHLETE EACH YEAR. The scholarship payment may be used for tuition and books at an accredited institution. Payments will be made directly to the college or university attending in the name of the recipient(s). 

3.BROCKFELD SCHOLARSHIP2017 Brockfeld.pdf 
The Brockfeld family is sponsoring a $750 scholarship in memory of G. A. Brockfeld, Nell M. Brockfeld and Jon A. Brockfeld. The scholarship is intended to assist STUDENTS ENTERING A BUSINESS RELATED MAJOR, SKILLED 
TRADE OR PROFESSIONAL CAREER. Selection is based on school record, work experience, a written paragraph 
stating reasons for applying and academic standing. 

4.DANIEL BOONE RETIRED TEACHERS /SCHOOL PERSONNEL SCHOLARSHIP2017 Daniel Boone Retired Teachers.pdf 
The purpose of this scholarship is to promote teaching through the offering of a $500 scholarship. Students must
be 2017 graduates from a public high school in Warren County who are PLANNING CAREERS IN TEACHER 
EDUCATION. 

5.DANNY J. MARTIN MEMORIAL AND DR. JAMES CALE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP-WARRENTON AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE2017 Danny J Martin and Dr James Cale.pdf 
This $500 scholarship is sponsored by the Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce. Recipient must be sponsored 
by a Chamber member. Each Chamber member may sponsor only one (1) scholarship applicant each year. 
Recipient must plan to attend a two year college, four year college or vocational school. Academics, community 
and school involvement will all be considered. 
                              
6.GEORGE AND MELNA BOLM SCHOLARSHIP2017 Bolm.pdf 
George and Melna Bolm of Warrenton offer two scholarships ($500 each) to one male and one female student
who plan to MAJOR IN AN AGRICULTURE RELATED AREA with preference for a student attending the University of Missouri-Columbia. If no agriculture students qualify, health care at the University of Missouri will be considered. 

7.IAABO-IAFO SCHOLARSHIP- 
The International Association of Approved Basketball Officials and The Interscholastic Association of Football 
Officials have established scholarships in order to support the young men and women in the schools they officiate.
Any high school senior who is a US citizen is eligible. Students must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average in
order to apply. The deadline for this application is April 4, 2017 by 3:00 PM. This application is submitted online

8.KAY SHORES MEMORIAL GRANT AND AID2017 Kay Shores.pdf 
The local chapter of Gamma Alpha offers a $500 scholarship to a female graduate planning to further her 
education. The scholarship is open to FEMALE STUDENTS WHO ARE PLANNING A CAREER IN EDUCATION. 
Selection will be by a committee of members of Gamma Alpha. 

9.LOUIS W. GUNTHER SCHOLARSHIP2017 Gunther.pdf 
This scholarship is sponsored by Frieden’s United Church of Christ. It is for students who are PLANNING TO 
BECOME A REGISTERED NURSE. Students do not have to be members of Frieden’s United Church of Christ to 
apply. 

10.MARGARET PRINGLE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP- 2017 Pringle.pdf 
2- $1,000 scholarships will go to STUDENTS WHO ARE ATTENDING A VOCATIONAL OR TECHNICAL SCHOOL and STUDENTS WHO ARE PLANNING TO PLAY A SPORT IN COLLEGE, BUT HAVE NOT EARNED A SCHOLARSHIP FOR IT. Preference will be given to students attending a Missouri college or university. 

11.MARINE CORPS LEAGUE RICHARD SCOTT HAYMES SCHOLARSHIP- 2017 Marine Corp.pdf 
This scholarship is for children, a spouse, siblings, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and step children of an 
active duty, reserve duty or honorable discharged veteran of the United States Marine Corps or US Navy FMF
Corpsman. Or a member of the Marine Corps League or Marine Corps League Women’s Auxiliary. 3.0 GPA or better is required. The deadline for this application is April 1, 2017. 

12.MFA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP2017 MFA.pdf 
The scholarship may be used at the college or university of your choice and toward any course of study you 
desire to pursue. The amount of the scholarship is $2,000. The local selection committee considers the following:
scholastic progress, citizenship, extra-curricular activities, educational plans, and financial need. The deadline for
this application is March 15, 2017 (Spring Break) SO students need to have completed forms to Mrs. McDaniel by 
March 10th. 
         
13. PEOPLE’S BANK AND TRUST SCHOLARSHIP- 
This scholarship is sponsored by the People’s Bank and Trust. Students must have at least a 3.0 GPA to be 
considered. The scholarship is for $2000 each year and can be renewed for up to 4 years. There is an essay and 
a financial need component to the application. The deadline for this application is March 15, 2017. Students must
email Mrs. McDaniel for the online application- [email protected]

14.RAYMOND & MARIE SPRICK SCHOLARSHIP2017 Sprick.pdf 
The Raymond & Marie Sprick Scholarship Fund was established to aid deserving WHS graduates who will be 
pursuing further education in the specific areas of HEALTH CARE, EDUCATION AND AGRICULTURE/CONSERVATION. Two- $1,000 scholarships will be awarded annually, one or more in each of the above areas. The amount will vary
each year. Students do not have to be members of Frieden’s United Church of Christ to apply. 

15.ROTARY CLUB OF WARREN COUNTY2017 Rotary.pdf 
The Rotary Club of Warren County has awarded nearly $1 million in scholarships to college bound high school 
seniors since 1990. This is Rotary’s way of encouraging academic excellence. Any student living in the Warren 
County R-III School District is eligible to apply for the Rotary Scholarship. Children of Warren County Rotarians 
may apply regardless of which high school they attend. Five $1,500 scholarships for the 2016 school year will be awarded to underwrite college expenses. The deadline for this application is April 15, 2017 by 8:00 AM. 

16.SCHOWENGERDT FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP2017 Schowengerdt.pdf 
Ms. Margaret Schowengerdt of Warrenton established the Schowengerdt Family Scholarship in 1994. It is intended
to assist graduates of Warrenton High School who will attend the UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI COLUMBIA. The 
number and amount of scholarships may vary yearly and are based on academic achievement, character, 
personality, industry, and ambition. Financial need may be a consideration. 

17.SHELTER INSURANCE FOUNDATION & KEITH HUFF SCHOLARSHIP2017 Shelter.pdf 
This scholarship will be awarded annually to graduating seniors who attend high schools that are approved and accredited by the states’ departments of education. The scholarship will be in the amount of $2,000. A selection committee will consider applicants’ scholastic achievement, participation and leadership in school and community activities, citizenship and moral character, and educational goals. 

18.THE MISSOURI BANK SCHOLARSHIP2017 The MO Bank.pdf 
The Missouri Bank of Warrenton awards 2-$1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors who will be attending a 
college or university. Factors considered in the selection are grade point average, college admissions test scores, 
student curriculum, financial need, and extracurricular activities. 
                 
19.TYLER ROMAKER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP2017 Tyler Romaker.pdf 
This scholarship is provided by the WHS Class of 2012 and the Romaker Family in memory of Tyler Romaker. 
Tyler was a graduate from WHS, and a senior at the Univ. of Missouri at the time of his motorcycle accident that 
ended his life at the age of 22. This $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior who will be: 
attending the Univ. of Missouri, pursuing a major in Music, wishes to be involved in a university’s orchestra, 
marching band, OR is considering the Army ROTC University Program. 

20.WARREN COUNTY FARM BUREAU SCHOLARSHIP- 2017 Farm Bureau.pdf 
The Warren County Farm Bureau offers a $500 scholarship. Student’s FAMILY MUST BE WARREN COUNTY FARM 
BUREAU MEMBERS on or before January 1, 2017. Applicants may major in any discipline, but PREFERENCE WILL
BE GIVEN TO THOSE ENROLLING IN AN AG FIELD. Application deadline is April 1, 2017 by 8:00 AM to 
Mrs. McDaniel. 

21.WARREN COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT ROLE MODEL SCHOLARSHIP2017 Sheriffs Dept.pdf 
The Warren County Sheriff’s Department and the Warren County D.A.R.E. Program provide a $1,000 scholarship 
to a senior who is planning on furthering their education. Emphasis is placed on being a citizen of good character
and being a positive role model. 

22.WARRENTON FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT SCHOLARSHIP- 2017 Warrenton Fire Dept.pdf 
The Warrenton Fire Protection District sponsors a $500 scholarship in honor of fallen firefighters. It is open to 
students who have been active in school activities and who have maintained good grades. Selection is made by members of the fire protection district. 

23.WARRENTON FIRE PROTECTION LADIES AUXILIARY- 2017 Ladies Auxilliary.pdf 
We will be awarding 2- $500 scholarships to individuals who are residents of the Warrenton Fire Protection 
District and are PURSUING A CAREER IN EMERGENCY HEALTH CARE OR FIREFIGHTING SERVICES. Each applicant
must include a 500 word essay stating why they deserve the scholarship and must attach two letters of recommendation. 

24.WARRENTON HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP- 2017 WHS Alumni.pdf 
The WHS Alumni Assoc. offers several $1,000 scholarships with academic standing and school and community involvement as the main selection criteria. Selection is made by the WHS Alumni Assoc. 

25.WARRENTON HIGH SCHOOL IT CLUB SCHOLARSHIP2017 IT Club.pdf 
The WHS Industrial Technology Club offers a scholarship to students pursuing technological fields or education
degrees. Preference will be given to IT Club members.

The WHS National Honor Society will offer 2- $100 scholarships to active NHS members. 

27.WARRENTON HIGH SCHOOL STAFF SCHOLARSHIP2017 WHS Staff.pdf 
The WHS Staff offers a scholarship to a graduating senior planning to attend college. Academic standing, school involvement and financial need are considerations. Selection is made by WHS staff. 

28.WARRENTON HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT COUNCIL SCHOLARSHIP2017 StuCo.pdf 
The Warrenton High School Student Council offers a $500 scholarship to Student Council senior members and a
$500 scholarship to a graduating senior (any senior can apply) planning to attend college. Academic standing, 
school involvement and financial need are considerations. Selection is made by members of Student Council. 

29.WISE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP2017 WISE.pdf 
The WISE Foundation will award several scholarships (the number will vary each year). Consideration is given to academic standing and community involvement. This is open to all graduating seniors. Deadline is March 31, 2017 

30.WOODROW WILSON BLACKWOOD SCHOLARSHIP2017 Woodrow Wilson Blackwood.pdf 
Each year, the Warrenton Education Association, in memory of Mr. Blackwood, a former Warren County R 3
teacher, offers 2- $1,000 scholarships to GRADUATES PLANNING TO BECOME TEACHERS. Applicants must 
complete an application form stating educational goals and listing two references. Academic record, educational 
goals and financial need are considered. Selection is made by a committee of the Warrenton Education

George and Melna Bolm of Warrenton offer two scholarships ($500 each) to one male and one female student
who plan to MAJOR IN AN AGRICULTURE RELATED AREA with preference for a student attending the University of Missouri-Columbia. If no agriculture students qualify, health care at the University of Missouri will be considered. 

7.IAABO-IAFO SCHOLARSHIP- 
The International Association of Approved Basketball Officials and The Interscholastic Association of Football 
Officials have established scholarships in order to support the young men and women in the schools they officiate.
Any high school senior who is a US citizen is eligible. Students must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average in
order to apply. The deadline for this application is April 4, 2017 by 3:00 PM. This application is submitted online

8.KAY SHORES MEMORIAL GRANT AND AID2017 Kay Shores.pdf 
The local chapter of Gamma Alpha offers a $500 scholarship to a female graduate planning to further her 
education. The scholarship is open to FEMALE STUDENTS WHO ARE PLANNING A CAREER IN EDUCATION. 
Selection will be by a committee of members of Gamma Alpha. 

9.LOUIS W. GUNTHER SCHOLARSHIP2017 Gunther.pdf 
This scholarship is sponsored by Frieden’s United Church of Christ. It is for students who are PLANNING TO 
BECOME A REGISTERED NURSE. Students do not have to be members of Frieden’s United Church of Christ to 
apply. 

10.MARGARET PRINGLE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP- 2017 Pringle.pdf 
2- $1,000 scholarships will go to STUDENTS WHO ARE ATTENDING A VOCATIONAL OR TECHNICAL SCHOOL and STUDENTS WHO ARE PLANNING TO PLAY A SPORT IN COLLEGE, BUT HAVE NOT EARNED A SCHOLARSHIP FOR IT. Preference will be given to students attending a Missouri college or university. 

11.MARINE CORPS LEAGUE RICHARD SCOTT HAYMES SCHOLARSHIP- 2017 Marine Corp.pdf 
This scholarship is for children, a spouse, siblings, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and step children of an 
active duty, reserve duty or honorable discharged veteran of the United States Marine Corps or US Navy FMF
Corpsman. Or a member of the Marine Corps League or Marine Corps League Women’s Auxiliary. 3.0 GPA or better is required. The deadline for this application is April 1, 2017. 

12.MFA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP2017 MFA.pdf 
The scholarship may be used at the college or university of your choice and toward any course of study you 
desire to pursue. The amount of the scholarship is $2,000. The local selection committee considers the following:
scholastic progress, citizenship, extra-curricular activities, educational plans, and financial need. The deadline for
this application is March 15, 2017 (Spring Break) SO students need to have completed forms to Mrs. McDaniel by 
March 10th. 
         
13. PEOPLE’S BANK AND TRUST SCHOLARSHIP- 
This scholarship is sponsored by the People’s Bank and Trust. Students must have at least a 3.0 GPA to be 
considered. The scholarship is for $2000 each year and can be renewed for up to 4 years. There is an essay and 
a financial need component to the application. The deadline for this application is March 15, 2017. Students must

14.RAYMOND & MARIE SPRICK SCHOLARSHIP2017 Sprick.pdf 
The Raymond & Marie Sprick Scholarship Fund was established to aid deserving WHS graduates who will be 
pursuing further education in the specific areas of HEALTH CARE, EDUCATION AND AGRICULTURE/CONSERVATION. Two- $1,000 scholarships will be awarded annually, one or more in each of the above areas. The amount will vary
each year. Students do not have to be members of Frieden’s United Church of Christ to apply. 

15.ROTARY CLUB OF WARREN COUNTY2017 Rotary.pdf 
The Rotary Club of Warren County has awarded nearly $1 million in scholarships to college bound high school 
seniors since 1990. This is Rotary’s way of encouraging academic excellence. Any student living in the Warren 
County R-III School District is eligible to apply for the Rotary Scholarship. Children of Warren County Rotarians 
may apply regardless of which high school they attend. Five $1,500 scholarships for the 2016 school year will be awarded to underwrite college expenses. The deadline for this application is April 15, 2017 by 8:00 AM. 

16.SCHOWENGERDT FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP2017 Schowengerdt.pdf 
Ms. Margaret Schowengerdt of Warrenton established the Schowengerdt Family Scholarship in 1994. It is intended
to assist graduates of Warrenton High School who will attend the UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI COLUMBIA. The 
number and amount of scholarships may vary yearly and are based on academic achievement, character, 
personality, industry, and ambition. Financial need may be a consideration. 

17.SHELTER INSURANCE FOUNDATION & KEITH HUFF SCHOLARSHIP2017 Shelter.pdf 
This scholarship will be awarded annually to graduating seniors who attend high schools that are approved and accredited by the states’ departments of education. The scholarship will be in the amount of $2,000. A selection committee will consider applicants’ scholastic achievement, participation and leadership in school and community activities, citizenship and moral character, and educational goals. 

18.THE MISSOURI BANK SCHOLARSHIP2017 The MO Bank.pdf 
The Missouri Bank of Warrenton awards 2-$1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors who will be attending a 
college or university. Factors considered in the selection are grade point average, college admissions test scores, 
student curriculum, financial need, and extracurricular activities. 
                 
19.TYLER ROMAKER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP2017 Tyler Romaker.pdf 
This scholarship is provided by the WHS Class of 2012 and the Romaker Family in memory of Tyler Romaker. 
Tyler was a graduate from WHS, and a senior at the Univ. of Missouri at the time of his motorcycle accident that 
ended his life at the age of 22. This $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior who will be: 
attending the Univ. of Missouri, pursuing a major in Music, wishes to be involved in a university’s orchestra, 
marching band, OR is considering the Army ROTC University Program. 

20.WARREN COUNTY FARM BUREAU SCHOLARSHIP- 2017 Farm Bureau.pdf 
The Warren County Farm Bureau offers a $500 scholarship. Student’s FAMILY MUST BE WARREN COUNTY FARM 
BUREAU MEMBERS on or before January 1, 2017. Applicants may major in any discipline, but PREFERENCE WILL

The Warren County Sheriff’s Department and the Warren County D.A.R.E. Program provide a $1,000 scholarship 
to a senior who is planning on furthering their education. Emphasis is placed on being a citizen of good character
and being a positive role model. 

22.WARRENTON FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT SCHOLARSHIP- 2017 Warrenton Fire Dept.pdf 
The Warrenton Fire Protection District sponsors a $500 scholarship in honor of fallen firefighters. It is open to 
students who have been active in school activities and who have maintained good grades. Selection is made by members of the fire protection district.

Each year, the Warrenton Education Association, in memory of Mr. Blackwood, a former Warren County R 3
teacher, offers 2- $1,000 scholarships to GRADUATES PLANNING TO BECOME TEACHERS. Applicants must

goals and financial need are considered. Selection is made by a committee of the Warrenton Education
